June 2009 Envision a new future for Catholic schools! If you are a parent of a child with a disAbility, you probably know all too well the heartache of not being able to send your child to your parish school with their siblings and friends. There is a small group of parents in the Twin Cities that are hoping to change all that.
We are slowly making progress, won’t you join us? If you are the parent of a child with a disAbility and curious about our efforts Please contact Monica Duffy at info@exceptionalcatholicmn.org for more information, to get involved or to find out how we can help you.

There is a group of parents in Florida who are also working for Catholic School Inclusion. Perhaps we can exchange documents and ideas. We came together to form Inclusive Religious Education for All Children (IREACH, INC.).
Thank you. God bless you and your work for His children.

This is wonderful. I would love to see inclusive Catholic schools in our Archdiocese. I think this is very important for our typical Catholic children. I think they need to have classmates that are blind or use crutches or have developmental disabilities. Remember these are Christ’s schools! We all need each other to grow in grace and virtue!

Happy Summer! Just an update: we have still been working to start a program in the Archdiocese of St Paul/Minneapolis so that students with more “profound” needs can be included in our schools. Please email me at info@exceptionalcatholicmn.org for more information or to get involved!
